Kam Kee Steel’s Works embeds ESG principles within daily operations and project delivery. We continuously invest in Environmental, Social and Governance dimensions in response to Hong Kong Government green‑construction policies. BIM digital tools help optimise material usage and reduce resource consumption for low‑carbon engineering practice, as we prepare for projects in Northern Metropolis and other new development areas.
Environmental
‑ Material Management: Metal scraps are sorted and recycled on‑site at factory to minimise construction waste. We prioritise certified low‑emission eco‑friendly fire‑rated building materials.
‑ Carbon Footprint Control: BIM‑aided reference optimises material procurement to prevent over‑ordering. Energy‑saving lighting and power‑consumption monitoring are adopted in factory premises.
‑ Green Site: Waste reduction, noise mitigation and dust‑control measures are implemented on‑site in compliance with Hong Kong construction‑environmental regulations.
Social
‑ Safety Training: Ongoing site‑safety training pursuing zero‑incident target. Resources are invested in staff training covering BIM, fire‑work craft and quality management.
‑ Talent Development: Nurture local engineering workforce and provide upskilling opportunities for digital‑construction talent development in Hong Kong.
‑ Community Responsibility: Participate in public infrastructure projects including schools and hospitals to serve community needs.
Governance
‑ Quality System: Maintain ISO quality‑management system with structured project monitoring and supplier‑assessment mechanism.
‑ Compliance: Strictly adhere to Hong Kong Building Ordinance and labour legislation with robust contract and warranty‑management procedures.
‑ Sustainable Procurement: Environmental and labour‑practice criteria are considered during supplier screening; partners with sustainable awareness are prioritised.
We regard ESG as our long‑term operational objective. Together with BIM digital‑construction capability, we deliver safe, high‑quality and low‑carbon engineering solutions for Northern Metropolis and other new‑development‑area initiatives in Hong Kong.
